Jindal Announces Discontinuation of Common Core
Governor Bobby Jindal says he has removed Louisiana from Common Core by the stroke of his pen. The Governor calls it a federal government over-reach.
The Governor’s announcement was quickly followed by statements from State Superintendent John White and Education Board President Chas Roemer. They say Common Core will continue, and the governor doesn’t have the authority to end it.
