The bridge was closed to all traffic for construction and re- opened to vehicles in time for the Christmas travel season.
Now that the sidewalk is open, the shuttle services formerly offered to pedestrians cut-off by the bridge are now suspended.
Keep in mind, workers are still finishing work on the Alexandria side of the bridge, so drive carefully.
