Rapides Parish Fire District Two responded to the blaze at 1403 Randolph Boulevard, just off the Old Boyce Highway. Nobody was home.
Firefighters spent most of the day on the scene to investigate. They were notified by neighbors, who say the house, though overgrown, is occupied.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
