Grant writing class to start at NSU Thursday

NATCHITOCHES – A course on grant writing will offered through Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic and Continuing Education starting Thursday, Feb. 13.

“Beyond Basics: Grant Writing to Capture Funding” is designed to train current and aspiring grant writers in the most critical strategy and writing skills needed to win grants. Beginning with guidance in how to read grant guidelines and how to research and select the most appropriate donor, the course progresses through the structure of a successful grant application. This course also provides training in understanding grant budgeting principles and practices. Students are encouraged to bring workplace tasks to class if edited for confidentiality.

The class will offered through WebEX on Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. through March 20. The fee is 0 plus a supply fee.
