Grant Parish deputies respond to unusual animal call

The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office is used to receiving calls involving animals. But the animal call G.P.S.O. received on September 25 was a bit unusual, check even for the Sheriff’s Office.  Three buffalo were roaming loose in the Dartigo community for most of the day.

Sheriff Steven McCain even captured pictures of the beasts on his hunting lease game cameras.   The animals were captured by the G.P.S.O. animal control officers and their owner made arrangements to get the animals back home.
