Georgetown Man Charged with Terrorism

Last Thursday, Grant Parish deputies arrested a man for placing a suspicious device on the side of a street in Georgetown. He is 52-year-old Thomas Green, Jr.  of Georgetown is now charged with terrorism.

Georgetown deputies were notified of a suspicious object that appeared to be a pressure cooker on the side of the street. The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Louisiana State Police were called for assistance. The device was detonated and determined to not be an explosive device.

Green was booked by Georgetown Police for terrorizing and fake explosive device. His bond was set at ,000.
