Garden District Neighborhood Announces Upcoming Events
The
Cheering for our Friends
On the 31st of January we will cheer on our neighbors and friends as they run through our streets in the Spirits 5K.
Second Lining for our Neighbors
Every day many of our neighbors throughout Cenla go hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. The Garden District Neighborhood Foundation will be sponsoring a Mardi Gras Block Party on February 7th, during this event we will promenade in the neighborhood collecting donations of non-perishable food items to be donated to the Central Louisiana Food Bank. We invite all to help make a “Gumbo” for our neighbors and “pass a good time”! For more information on this event please call Heather Matlock (318) 229-7613 or Tia Powers (318) 623-8417.
Yard of the Month
The Foundation is also reviving the yard of the month competition. We will be taking nominations. For guidelines and more information on this please contact Kevin Cavell at kevincavell@me.com or text/call (318) 792-7358.
