She was also well known as a civic leader and most recently was honored for the development of the Lake District in South Alexandria.
The funeral is at 1 Saturday afternoon at First United Methodist in Alexandria.
She is survived by 2 sons and a daughter.
Arrangements are by Hixson Brothers. Burial will be at Greenwood.
