Freshman Athletic Eligibility Bill Headed to Full House

class=”alignleft size-medium wp-image-12886″ src=”http://klax-tv.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/State-Capital-300×194.jpg” alt=”State Capital” width=”300″ height=”194″ />A controversial bill to expand athletic eligibility for freshmen is now headed to full house in Baton Rouge for more debate.

The bill is opposed by the State High School Athletic Association. In fact, the new head of that group calls it the Freshman Free Agent Bill.

But, some members of the House Education Committee Panel say the current rules are unfair to some freshmen, forcing them to sit out for a year when they leave junior high.
