Forum Held to Discuss LA Healthcare Rankings

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation provides a report card for Louisiana parishes.  A forum was held today to discuss the rankings, what they mean and how healthcare can be improved.

The foundation is the nation’s largest health care philanthropy and is based in Princeton, New Jersey.  It gauges health care based on a variety of issues.

The forum was sponsored by the Central Louisiana Healthy Communities Coalition.  Many of those attending are at the forefront of changing bad habits like smoking.

Another major issue for this area is obesity, and there are efforts underway to encourage better eating habits.
