Fort Polk Soldier Arrested in Domestic Disturbance

class=”alignleft size-full wp-image-44400″ src=”” alt=”Robert-Drummond” width=”182″ height=”225″ />Vernon deputies arrest a 37-year-old Fort Polk soldier after a domestic disturbance.

Deputies say Robert Daniel Drummond used his gun to hit his wife in the head and left a round mark on her cheek, apparently caused by the muzzle of a firearm. Deputies say Drummond was drunk and fired at her when she left their home on foot.

He’s charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery domestic abuse battery, assault with a firearm, and illegal discharge of a gun.
