60-year-old Doctor Marvette Thomas of Grambling was Director of Academic Affairs and 60-year-old Carra Sergeant of Ragley was his assistant. They both admit to taking money from federal grants meant to help students. Together, they spent almost 160 thousand dollars on personal items and gifts.
They now face up to 10 years in prison, plus fines and will be sentenced in December.
