Food Bank Awarded $75,000 for Good Food Project

The Good Food Project, a program of the Food Bank of Central Louisiana, has been awarded the Community Impact Award by the Central Louisiana Community Foundation of $75,000.

The Good Food Project serves an 11 parish region and currently supports 40 garden programs in neighborhoods, schools, youth and senior centers.  The project educates the public about organic gardening, provides hands-on learning, and hosts workshops that are open to the public.

The expansion will benefit more than 5,200 adults and children during the upcoming year.
