A former president throws his weight behind U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu. Bill Clinton took the stage in front of a packed house in downtown Baton Rouge. He touted Landrieu’s experience and called her an effective leader.
This is the former president’s second time campaigning for Landrieu in the past two months.
Recently, Landrieu’s opponents got the backing of major political players as well. Former presidential candidate, Senator John McCain toured the state with Republican challenger Bill Cassidy. And former vice-presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, campaigned with tea-party candidate Rob Maness.
