First Tee Program Visits Alma Redwine

Representatives of the First Tee Program were at Alma Redwine New Vision Academy. They held a session this morning to help local P.E. teachers learn the basic fundamentals of golf.

Instructors of the program say they use golf as a tool to instill core values and life skills in its participants.

The First Tee teaches golf to all students, kindergarten through 12th grade.

Since 1997, more than seven thousand elementary schools have been introduced to the First Tee Program. And a recent success story recently received a full golf scholarship to Louisiana College.
