Fire Destroys Uninhabited House in Alexandria

An uninhabited house fire early this morning destroys a wooden, shot-gun structure at 1963 Overton in Alexandria.

The call went in to the Alexandria Fire Department shortly after 8:30 a.m., and was stopped in about 5 minutes.

Nobody was hurt, but the structure is a total loss, and firefighters say the living room was fully engulfed when they arrived.

The fire is still under investigation.
