Female body found on New Year’s Day
The Alexandria Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the body of a woman of that was found on Woodard Street in a vacant lot.
The body was found on January 1st around 10 am lying in the grass near the road in blue clothing.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and an autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death. At this time, there are no signs of homicide.
