Fatal Weekend for Pedestrians

Police say a car driven by a Marksville couple hit a woman who walked into their lane.  25-year-old Jaclynn White of Pineville was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, a pedestrian is killed over the weekend in Saint Landry Parish.  It happened Saturday night on Highway 358 shortly before midnight.  Troopers say an Opelousas woman hit 29-year-old Shantel Prudhomme of Lafayette who was wearing dark clothing and walking in the roadway.
