Witch Way to Main Street

NATCHITOCHES – The City of Natchitoches and Main Street Program will sponsor Witch Way to Main Street in downtown Natchitoches on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Witch Way to Main Street will take place on Front Street. Children age 12 and younger will be able to trick-or-treat at participating downtown businesses including All Tangled Up, Cane Brake Café, Cane River Kitchenware, Cane River Gallery, Rocking Horse Toy Store, Sabine State Bank, and Vintage Magnolia, as well as at sponsored booths along Front Street. Witch Way to Main Street will feature face painting, Sparky the Fire Dog, a Haunted House, tours of the “Haunted” Natchitoches Parish Library Bookmobile, games and more!
Children must be in costume and accompanied by an adult to participate. Candy and prizes will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Natchitoches police officers will be on duty to ensure children’s safety.
The downtown riverbank will be closed to traffic beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, October 31, and Front Street will be closed from Church Street to Lafayette Street from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the event.
Witch Way to Main Street participants include: City of Natchitoches Main Street Program, City of Natchitoches Recreation and Parks Department, City of Natchitoches Fire Department and Sparky the Fire Dog, Bank of Montgomery, Blue Key Honors Society, Bright Beginnings, Cane River Patrol, CASA of Central Louisiana, Circle K, Fort St. Jean Baptiste SHS, Helping Hands, Kiwanis Club, NCHS Key Club, Natchitoches Parish Library Bookmobile, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office Youth Services Division, Suddenlink, Security Finance, and Watson Law Office.
