The Garden District’s 6th Annual “Second Lining for our Neighbors” Mardi Gras Block Party & Promenade

Shelf-stable food goods

On February 22, 2020 the Garden District Neighborhood Foundation will host our 6th annual event, “Second Lining for our Neighbors” Mardi Gras Block Party & Promenade. The event is held on 20th Street between Jackson and Albert Streets, with activities beginning at 1pm and concluding at 8pm.

This free event is meant to collect shelf-stable foods to donate to the Food Bank of Central Louisiana. We request guests bring shelf-stable foods to donate in lieu of entry fee.

Lineup of activities:

1:00: Yoga on the Bricks – Join Lux Studios for a free outdoor yoga class

3:00: Second Line procession led by CENLA Brass Band around the neighborhood to collect shelf-stable food goods.

4:00-6:00: CENLA Brass Band takes the stage for a free live concert.

6:00-8:00: The Set Ups takes the stage for a free live concert.

The event will host several area food trucks and food and drink vendors.
