Love Your Kidneys Cenla 5K Run/Walk
April 1, 2017 @ 8:00 am
On Saturday, April 1, 2017 hundreds of CENLA supporters will gather for the 4th Annual “Love Your Kidneys Cenla” 5K Fun Run/Walk in the beautiful downtown Marksville. As a participant or donor, you have the opportunity to support the National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana’s programs and services and make a difference for over 9,400 dialysis patients and 460,000 people living with chronic kidney disease in Louisiana.
The “LYK Cenla” event is family oriented with health care vendors, children activities, entertainment, before 5k Run/Walk snacks, and hot jambalaya following the race! All 5K participants should register and submit the entry fee on this website. All Walk participants should register at www.kidneywalk.org, but no entry fee is required–Walkers should fund raise as alternative to an entry fee–on the www.kidneywalk.org campaign website.
Run or walk, join us in the fight against kidney disease and challenge yourself to cross the finish line of the 5K (3.1 miles) or the 1 mile Walk.
The 5K begins at the Marksville Clerk of Court to N. Main Street, next to Tarleton Street and on to Foster Drive. Continue to run to Cedar Lane and onto W. Bontemps Street. Next the runners will continue to Desselle Street and onto Waddil Street, then back to Main Street.
CHIP TIMING: The 5K will be chip timed if we have over 75 participants. The chip will be adhered to your race bib. Your finish time will be captured when you cross the mats at the finish line. You must start the 5K at the designated time for your finish time to be accurate.
If under 75 participants, the race directors will time manually based on your bib number.
5K: Top Overall Finishers, Top Overall Master and Grand Master, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each age group, male and female.
