Kickoff is 6 p.m. for the in-state matchup between the Demons and the Jaguars, which will include a spectacular halftime show with the Spirit of Northwestern Marching Band and Southern’s Human Jukebox. All tickets are reserved seats priced at $20. They are available online at NSUDemons.com/tickets through secure credit card transactions, and can be purchased in person or on the telephone at the NSU and Southern athletic ticket offices.

“While there will doubtlessly be a large and excited crowd at Turpin Stadium on Sept. 7, and a great tailgating atmosphere that weekend, there are thousands of tickets currently available and we encourage NSU and Southern fans to purchase early to avoid the game-week surge,” said Kyle Barnard, athletic ticket manager for Northwestern State.

“Online purchases are easy at any point and are available until four hours before the game. Those who will purchase at the NSU ticket office, or will be calling to buy their tickets over the telephone, are strongly advised to do so as soon as possible,” said Barnard. “Past history tells us that on game week, and as game day approaches, we will have lines at the ticket office and the phone lines will be busy.”

The NSU ticket office phone number is 318-357-4268 with the main athletic office number 318-357-5251. The ticket office is open daily from 8-5 p.m. on weekdays.

The reserved seat locations encompass 15,971-seat Turpin Stadium, which has sold out each of Southern’s four previous visits in 1994, 1996, 1998 and 2000. The teams last met in 2002 in Shreveport.

Fans driving RVs can purchase reserved parking slots for $30 through both ticket offices. The NSU contact is Matt Baca at 318-357-4293.

A $10 parking fee for vehicles entering the south side of campus surrounding Turpin Stadium has been instituted since Southern’s last visit to the NSU campus in 2000. The paid parking zones are very convenient to access the stadium and the Demon Alley Tailgating Zone, and other prime tailgating locations around the NSU athletic facilities.

There are free parking areas on the north side of campus within walking distance of the stadium.
