VILLE PLATTE — Join us for Chicot State Park’s monthly Dutch oven gathering on Sat., December 7th from 9:00 a.m. until Noon. It will be held at Pavilion 2, located in the picnic/day use area near the South Boat Launch.
Bill Ryan, President of the Louisiana Dutch Oven Society, and Randy Hebert of the Le Chein Cookers will be hosting December’s gathering. You are invited to bring your own Dutch oven and cook or observe while these guys cook up a pot of something good!
Chicot State Park is the largest state park in Louisiana. Situated around a 2,000-acre, man-made lake, the park offers a wide variety of outdoor activities for visitors such as camping, fishing, hiking and picnicking. The park is located in the heart of Louisiana, six miles north of Ville Platte in Evangeline Parish on La. 3042.
