City Heat Wraps up Downtown at Sundown’s 15th Season

City Heat will wrap up the 15th season of Downtown at Sundown Friday, June 7 from 6:15-9 p.m. The band is driven by local jazz legend Chester Daigle II on keyboards/bass, with DeWayne Simmons on vocals and James Bill on drums. With City Heat’s unique combinations and fusions of music styles such as rhythm and blues, jazz, and funk to yield a repertoire of cover songs, City Heat quickly became one of Southwest Louisiana’s most popular bands.  The have delivered a great night of entertainment, audience participation, and long-lasting memories since 1995.

Other entertainment and activities begin at 5:30 p.m. including food, art and merchandise vendors. Downtown at Sundown will take place within the 700-800 blocks of Ryan Street (between Division and Pujo Streets). The two blocks will be closed to vehicle traffic and street parking in accordance with a special event ordinance. All cross streets will remain open for traffic. Surrounding parking lots will be open and available for parking cars.
