Deputies Make Arrests in Possible Shoplifting Ring
Rapides deputies make two arrests in what they believe is a shoplifting ring. Jake Chimento Junior and Cindy Brooks are accused of stealing more than 15 thousand dollars in merchandise from mainly Wal-Mart stores across the state and pawned them. Both remain in the Rapides Parish Jail awaiting bond.
Deputies are investigating more thefts from other major retailers and say more arrests are possible.
