Curtis-Coleman Bridge Opens

class=”aligncenter size-full wp-image-43208″ src=”http://klax-tv.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/newbridgeopen.jpg” alt=”newbridgeopen” width=”500″ height=”278″ />The first vehicles over the Curtis-Coleman Bridge were a bit late this morning as highway workers re-directed traffic to make use of the northbound lanes.

The bridge connects Pineville and Alexandria over the Red River.

Eventually, the historic O.K. Allen two-lane bridge will be demolished.

Drivers are reminded there is a detour if headed north to Shreveport by Interstate 49 and that will remain in place until the ramp is fixed.
