Couple Arrested for Child Abuse

class=”aligncenter size-full wp-image-39408″ src=”http://klax-tv.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/childabusearrests.jpg” alt=”childabusearrests” width=”400″ height=”241″ />On July 18, 2014, Deputies responded to the 2800 block of Woodlawn Drive, Alexandria, LA in reference to a request from the Department of Children and Family Services.  DCFS was there investigating a complaint of possible child abuse on a juvenile that lived in the residence.  Detectives also responded to conduct their investigation into the allegations.

After a thorough investigation, Detectives developed enough probable cause that supported the allegations.  Warrants were obtained on the two suspects, identified as Michael Earl Richards and Melissa Blanche Richards for 1 count of Cruelty to Juveniles each.

On August 13th, both suspects were arrested on the warrants and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center where they were later released on bond.  Bond for Michael was set at $1,500.00 and bond for Melissa was set at $750.00
