Convicted felons encouraged to register as voters

Those who are off probation or parole, have been on parole for at least five years or is on probation and hasn’t received a new conviction are now eligible to register and vote.

Nearly 40,000 Louisiana citizens got their voting rights back on March 1st of this year after ACT 636 was passed last year.
