Convicted APD Officer May Have 50-Year Sentence Reduced

A former Alexandria police officer, convicted of improper behavior with a minor, will have a chance to have his 50-year prison sentence reduced. The appeals court says Walter Urena should have less than a 40-year sentence as part of his punishment, because he’s a first time offender.

The case is sent back to the presiding judge to reconsider the sentence.
