Community Meeting Regarding Community Garden Initiative
Special Community Meeting July 7 to Discuss Community, School, and Church Garden Initiative
WHAT: The City of Natchitoches is hosting a special community meeting this Tuesday to discuss a community, school, and church garden initiative designed to improve the amount of locally grown, fresh produce available at the Cane River Green Market. The initiative is being proposed as part of a broader healthy eating campaign for which the City is seeking grant funding. In order to apply for grants, the City needs to identify partners for the initial garden sites and demonstrate community support for the project.
WHO: The meeting is open to the public with no pre-registration required. All those interested in being involved in the garden project are encouraged to attend.
