City to Sponsor Summer Day Camp at East Natchitoches Beginning July 7
NATCHITOCHES – The City of Natchitoches Recreation and Parks Department will sponsor a summer day camp at East Natchitoches Elementary and Middle School beginning Monday, July 7, 2014 for ages 5 to 12 years old. The camp will feature instruction in recreation, arts, life skills and civic responsibilities.
The camp will consist of two sessions: July 7th through July 18th and July 21st through August 1st. Each session is limited to 40 students.
The camp hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Drop-off will be from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. at East Natchitoches and pick-up will be at 12:00 noon at City Pool on Amulet Street. Snacks will be provided.
Each day campers will rotate through three centers focusing on art, recreation and skill-building. Activities will include art projects, sports, team-building exercises, and community service. Each day the camp will conclude with recreational swimming at City Pool. On Fridays, campers will take field trips to various local attractions.
The cost of the camp is $25 per session per child. Children can sign up for one or both sessions.
