The City of Alexandria will hold a Recreation Summit August 7-9 at the Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center in downtown Alexandria.
The purpose of the summit is the engage the community and learn from nationally-acclaimed speakers about the benefits of good recreational programming and how it can improve the quality of life of Alexandria families.
Prior to the summit, the City of Alexandria also is seeking 30 days of public comment pertaining to the city’s parks and recreation facilities and programming.
Speakers at the summit will bring new information about recreational trends across the country, and the City encourages Alexandrians to attend the summit, hear from these experts, and discuss the future of the City’s parks and recreation.
