Citizen Stops Attempted Armed Robbery
class=”aligncenter size-full wp-image-42961″ src=”http://klax-tv.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/armedrobbery.jpg” alt=”armedrobbery” width=”400″ height=”282″ />Natchitoches police say a citizen stopped an armed robbery at the Dollar General and two people were arrested. Police say 25-year-old Kentrell McElroy and 29-year-old Franchesca Brooks are both from Natchitoches and were arrested last Friday.
Police say McElroy tried to walk into the store with a rifle when a passerby blocked the front door and alerted the clerks to call police. Authorities say security video shows the person struggling with the armed man outside the front door.
Police used descriptions to track down the suspects. The man is charged with armed robbery and other crimes. The woman is accused of possession of marijuana and was later released.
