The CenLa Race for the Cure Committee is proud to announce registration is now open for the 2013 Race for the Cure to be held Saturday, October 19, in downtown Alexandria. Participants are encouraged to register early for the race and join thousands of individuals committed to raising funds to support the fight against breast cancer.
Louisiana has one of the highest breast cancer mortality rates. The funds raised by Race for the Cure participants are awarded to local organizations to provide screening, education, and treatment for uninsured women in our community. Without the communities support and fundraising efforts hundreds of women each year would go without needed screening and support.
Register today at http://acadiana.info-komen.org/site/TR/RacefortheCure/LFT_AcadianaAffiliate?fr_id=3585&pg=entry and help make an impact in the Central Louisiana community. Your participation can help save a life. Early registration at a reduced fee is open until August 15. Registration is just the first step. The second step is to invite your friends and family to race with you and make an impact in the life of someone right here at home.
