Cenla Small Businesses Receive Awards
CenLa Small Business Week is celebrated with awards and lunch.
The festivities are held at the business incubator, where start-ups receive help and instruction from experts. The advisers say this is a non-threatening way for small businesses to begin their work, try out various models and recruit employees.
Awards are given to the best of the best in small businesses.
Among those receiving awards was 1921 Jackson, a coffee house and lunch spot, which was named best newly opened business. Other awards went to Mexi-Cajun Seasoning, Lavaughn’s Personal Touch, Custom Cakes by Lisa and 2 Reign Catering.
