[ March 1, 2014; ] NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University will host the Northern Louisiana National History Bee and Bowl Saturday, March 1 at Watson Library beginning at 9 a.m. Admission to the event is free and the public is invited to attend.
Participating schools include Winnfield Middle School, Riverdale Academy, Airline High School in Bossier and St. Mary’s of Natchitoches.

Another Central Louisiana university will go smoke-free. Northwestern says it will rid itself of tobacco by August 1st. LSU of Alexandria made the announcement last week to do the same.
It will cover all interior spaces at NSU and branch campuses, all vehicles, moving or parked, and apply to faculty, staff, students and visitors.
