All-Sports Camp Teaches Kids Team-Building Skills

Kids grades one through 12 are on the LSUA campus this week for the All-Sports Camp.
Boys and girls get training in baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, swimming and tennis. And some children choose to participate in more than one sport.

LSUA to Host Special Production to Honor Late Theatre Professor

The premiere performances at the Gwartney on the LSUA campus begin Thursday.   It will feature a special production, “An Evening with Richard”, when friends of his are converging on stage to recall his life and work.

LSUA Generals Raise Money with Skeet-Shooting

A skeet-shooting tournament is slated for next month and sponsored by the Generals Athletic Association. It will raise money for the LSUA program.

Generals head coach Larry Cordar and his staff are working with boys and girls ages 6 to 13. They’re teaching fundamentals as well as the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.

University Academy Exceeding Enrollment Expectations

The University Academy at LSU of Alexandria opens its doors this fall as a laboratory school. Heather Poole says the school has been enrolling students for this latest venture.

The academy provides an early college and high school model to blend the two. That way, students can earn college credit while they attend high school.

The SGA President at LSU of Alexandria is the new student member of the LSU Board of Supervisors. Brandon Crain was selected by other student body presidents to represent them on the board of supervisors.
He’s the 3rd LSUA student ever elected to this board.
