VA Conducts “Stand Down” To Help Homeless Veterans

The VA Hospital conducts what it calls a Stand Down. The medical center is offering services to homeless veterans. This is the 11th year for the homeless stand down.

Grant deputies arrest a 24-year-old Pineville woman for stealing prescription medicine from an elderly person she was caring for.
Courtney Harrell is accused of stealing from the elderly and for possession of oxycodone, hydrocodone and Xanax.

Lafayette Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash

A Lafayette man dies in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 49 in Saint Landry Parish. He’s 67-year-old Donald Royer.
State police say another driver pulled into the road from the side, ahead of Royer, and when he tried to avoid the car, he lost control and was thrown.

New Traffic Patterns Begin Tomorrow on Hwy. 165 in Pineville

The traffic pattern on the Pineville side of the Red River between the O.K. Allen Bridge and Pineville High will change tomorrow.
Highway officials say you need to be careful, follow the signs and remember that traffic is reduced to one lane. These are temporary changes while the new bridge is being constructed.
