Downtown Alexandria is hit by yarn bombers. The colorful display of yarn is decorating street lights, utility poles and trees. The knitted art displays the Chamber of Commerce’s logo.

Shooting Leaves One Dead and One in Serious Condition

Thursday night around 9:45, Rapides deputies were called to a home in the 11 hundred block of Brannon road where they found two people shot.
One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was rushed to the hospital, where they are now in serious condition.  No other information is available yet.
