Federal Jury in Alexandria convicts Turkish National

After deliberating for just eight minutes, a Federal jury in Alexandria convicts a Turkish National of resisting deportation.
43 year-old Erdic Coskun will be sentenced on August 1, 2014.
Coskun faces up to eight years in prison.

Sidewalk Groundbreaking in Alex


A groundbreaking ceremony for a sidewalk project along Texas Avenue was held today.
4.3 miles of sidewalks are being built at a cost of nearly 1.5 million dollars.

Homeless Grants in Cenla

More than a half-million dollars is provided for homeless programs in Central Louisiana; the grant was spearheaded by the Central Louisiana Homeless Coalition.
