An Alexandria man is arrested after deputies say he delivered heroine to a hotel guest.
Police say Isaac Williams Junior tried to get away, hitting a detective with his bicycle, which sent the officer over a car hood and onto the ground.  The detective suffered minor injuries.

Alexandria Man Arrested for Assault and Battery


Rapides deputies arrest an Alexandria man for assault and battery of a woman in Boyce.  Hilary Barnes is accused of forcing his way into a former girlfriend’s home and threatening her with a knife.  When deputies arrived, they say the man ran off after driving his vehicle into a ditch.

Grant parish deputies arrest a Tennessee woman for murder.
Anita Reed is accused in the death of Bruce Bardwell in the JD Camp community on Sunday.  She’s also charged with obstruction of justice and is being held on a half million-dollar bond.

Alexandria Woman Steals from an Elderly Person


An Alexandria woman is arrested for stealing from an elderly person.
Police say they investigated 65-year-old Brenda Hopewell for seven months.  Detectives say Hopewell used a fraudulent power of attorney to obtain credit cards and buy items using the victim’s account.  Police say she took nine thousand dollars from a relative who lives in California.

Man Arrested for 66th Time


A Jonesville man is arrested for the 66th time by Alexandria Police.
Michael Harbor, is accused of burglary of a vehicle in the 32 hundred block of Redwood Drive.  Police say they also found drug paraphernalia on him.  Police also determined the tool box he was carrying had been stolen yesterday.
