Several Family Members Arrested on Drug Charges


Grant Deputies arrest several members of one family on drug charges.  They’re Dale Manning, James Manning, James Manning Junior and Jamarlon Manning, all of Colfax.
The sheriff says all are accused of drug-related charges, from possession to distribution.

Julius McLaurin, former CEO of Rapides Regional, dies


The long-time president and CEO of Rapides Regional Medical Center, Julius McLaurin, has died at the age of 90.
He ran the hospital from 19-70 to 1988 and steered the hospital from its ownership by the Louisiana Baptist Convention into what became Rapides Regional.

Natchitoches Police Search for Shooting Suspect


Natchitoches Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a shooting from earlier this week.
Brandon Jackson is wanted for the attempted murder of Donald Braxton.  Braxton suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder Wednesday night at the University Terrace Apartments.

Pineville High Teacher Arrested for Sexual Misconduct with Student


Police arrest a Pineville High School teacher for sexual misconduct with a student.  27-year-old Richard Stone, who is also an assistant football coach, is being charged with a total of 3 counts of prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and a student.

Governor Bobby Jindal is in Pineville today to make an economic development announcement.  Governor Jindal met with Crest Industries officials to announce a 2.3 million dollar expansion to their corporate headquarters in Pineville.
