LSU AgCenter’s Soybean Research Benefits Growers

Much of Northeast Louisiana’s economy is fueled by agriculture, and soybeans are a major commodity in the region.  LSU AgCenter correspondent Tobie Blanchard reports — soybean research at the northeast research station is benefiting growers.

The total value of soybean production in Louisiana in 2012 was 800 million dollars.

Grant Deputies Seize $13k of Marijuana

Grant deputies say they’ve seized 13 thousand dollars worth of marijuana.
Deputies arrested 34-year-old David Fletcher Junior and 46-year-old Kelley Swanson, both of Pollock.  They say the plants were being grown in containers at a site south of Pollock.
