Hineston Man Arrested for Sexual Battery with Child

State Police report the arrest of a Hineston man for sexual battery involving a child.  Investigators say 46-year-old Donald Keith Walters had improper behavior with a three-year-old.
This case remains under investigation.  If anyone has any information in reference to this or other crimes involving Walters, please contact LSP at 318-484-2190.

Speed Trap Bill Heads to Louisiana House for Debate

Yet another speed trap bill is headed to the full Louisiana House for debate.
The measure would require speed trap warning signs outside the municipality.  Woodworth in Rapides Parish was mentioned in the House testimony.
These kinds of bills have been attempted before and have always failed.

Setting a fire to stop a fire.  That’s exactly what foresters are doing in preparation of fire season.  ABC 31′s Bennett Roland Junior shows us how they do it.

Job Fair in Pineville Features Positions at Jena Choctaw Pines Casino

Early Voting for Spring Elections Starts Saturday

Early voting begins tomorrow and goes through March 29th in a handful of Central Louisiana parishes for the April 5th elections.  These include mayoral races in communities in Avoyelles, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Vernon and Winn parishes.
