Work Begins on New Library Branch

NSU Teacher Named Techology Educator of the Year


An NSU business teacher is named Technology Educator of the year by Governor Bobby Jindal.
She’s doctor Margaret Kilcoyne, who is director of the business school.  Technology routinely impacts her administrative work in promoting the business school and bolstering student recruiting.
The awards ceremony was held in Baton Rouge, on Monday.

Master Farmer University Underway at LSUA

Zoo Boo Expected to Draw Thousands of Visitors to Alexandria Zoo


It’s the scariest time of year at the Alexandria Zoo.  The 3-day annual Halloween celebration begins tomorrow and runs from 6 to 8:30 each night.

Rapides deputies arrest 6 people in a narcotics operation that ranges from Alexandria to the Philadelphia community north of the river.
