CIty Council Votes 4-3 to Pay Bill Owed to Lawyer

Mayor Jacques Roy’s attorneys are attempting to meet with Judge Dee Drell over an order to pay a bill owed to a lawyer. The City Council voted four to three last night to comply with the order.

The million dollar plus bill is owed for the city’s defense in the long-standing CLECO lawsuit.
