Julius McLaurin, former CEO of Rapides Regional, dies

The long-time president and CEO of Rapides Regional Medical Center, Julius McLaurin, has died at the age of 90.
He ran the hospital from 19-70 to 1988 and steered the hospital from its ownership by the Louisiana Baptist Convention into what became Rapides Regional.

Natchitoches Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a shooting from earlier this week.
Brandon Jackson is wanted for the attempted murder of Donald Braxton.  Braxton suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder Wednesday night at the University Terrace Apartments.
