It’s time to keep up with the red cockaded woodpecker. You may have seen some in your neighborhood. They are an endangered species, and conservationists are banding them to help them survive.

Habitat for Humanity is reminding everyone it’s closing its Restore by the end of this month. It’s chock full of construction materials and items needed for homes. Most have been donated to Habitat.
Habitat volunteers say they’ll be turning their attention and efforts to building more homes for the working poor.
