Officials Order Drawdown of Black-Clear Lake

State officials are ordering a drawdown for Black-Clear Lake near Campti.
This is done in many bodies of water this time of year to reduce aquatic weeds.
The gates will be closed no later than the end of January.

Boil Advisory Lifted for Latanier

A boil advisory for the Latanier water system is lifted.
The boil advisory was imposed when the city of Alexandria had a water main break, and that cut off the water supply to a couple of rural water systems.

Litter Court Judge Retires

Grant Parish is honoring retiring Litter Court Judge Chuck Evans.
Evans established one of the first litter courts in the state. He became a justice of the peace in 1988.
His Litter Court served as a model for other jurisdictions throughout the state.

Natchitoches police need your help in finding a missing teen. 17-year-old Bianca Chew was last seen Friday night in the front yard of a home on Martin Luther King Drive in Natchitoches. She was wearing a blue and white shirt with pink jeans and pink shoes.

Lacey Sanchez Crowned New Miss LA

Lacey Sanchez of Baton Rouge is now the new Miss Louisiana. She was chosen out of 32 contestants in the annual pageant Saturday night in Monroe. This was the 51st year for the event there.
