Dollar General Gives $4k to Common Core

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation is giving four thousand dollars to the Rapides Parish School Board to support the common core program.
The money will help teachers, schools and organizations with the resources they need at the start of the school year.

Kiwanis Hears About Current Programs at St. Mary’s

Saint Mary’s Residential Training School is a historic facility in Rapides Parish. It was founded at a time when there were few schools helping disabled children.
Today, a local Kiwanis Club hears about their current programs.
