A trip to the Central Louisiana Food Bank inspires some residents to make a special donation.
Residents of Our Lady’s Manor on Monroe Street had visited the Food Bank to volunteer and were so taken with one of the programs, they decided to create their own fundraisers to help out with one project they especially like.
Northwestern State University becomes a tobacco free campus Friday. This prohibits all tobacco on the campuses.
The school has had a prohibition on smoking within 25 feet of buildings and the athletic facility. Now the ban covers all interior spaces and applies to all students, faculty, staff, guests and workers.
Violators can be fined.
